The story of Mr. Lee, who cured lung disease with radish taffies

Mr. Lee found giant lumps just under his ears one day, and found out through his physician that it was because of the severe conditions in his lungs. Anything other than that his doctor couldn’t surely tell what it was, and why it was there. Not wanting to take any chances, he said no to surgical removal of the lump, which later caused whitening of his chest. He figured that only one thing could’ve caused it, and it was smoking.
He has been a smoker for over fifty years, meaning he has smoked since a very young age. He said he started smoking even before he learned how to read. Anyway, because of his smoking habits, only way his family prevented him from bronchial troubles was broiling a radish with honey and sugar and eating it with a spoon. Because Mr. Lee remembered such things, it didn’t take long for him to find the radish taffies to help his conditions. He ingested at least three scoops of the radish taffy and assured that his lungs would get better. He ate all he used to eat, and ate peaches, which was known to do good for smokers. But of course, he couldn’t quit smoking, because he never felt any severe pain that seemed life threatening.
After a while, he went for a free scanning session, and heard something miraculous from the doctor there. He was told that his lungs were clean. Although he suspected the results at first, he found out that the words were true after getting an additional check done on his body. When the doctors asked what he’d done, all he said was that he ate the radish taffies. Some laughed at him, but he walked out of the place, telling them to at least try broiling radishes. Today, he never forgets to eat his radish taffies.
